Again, I would like to thanks Chris for getting up so early today to do a great presentation on 'a into to cfWheels'. If you're a little unsure about if you should see this framework just let me use a statement from the show

"This is awesome'

Here is the recording for a intro to cfWheels.

We will be doing a follow up showin off some of the more advanced features of the framework very soon.

I would also like to thank Andy Belliene for stepping in to finish off the recording as I had to dip ut toward the end.

until next time

Looking for a co manager

As you know cfFrameworks is a Adobe user group but as such they encourage us to have a co-manager, therefore I'm requesting anyone reading this that is interested please get in contact with me.

cfFrames [-at-] talkwebsolutions.co.uk

You will be required to help update the site, do screen casts/podcasts of the latest updates and new realises of frameworks and general news updates. More than anything else it's a great way to keep you 'eye in'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Whats happened to cfFrameworks?

So a lot of you may be wondering what has happened on this site?? Well that is justified.

I've been really busy of late and I'm sorry to have lost a little focus on this. I've been setting up my business and it's taken a lot of time from my day.

I now want to put some time aside to get this site back up and running and for what I would like some feed back.

What you would like to get from this site - who we should interview, should we get the podcasts back, are screen casts better etc?

Please add your comments below or reply via twitter @cfFrameworks

Workshop: Writing Apps with COOP by John Farrar (take 2)

Following on from out previous canceled presentation please see the new details for the new presentaion here:

---

John Farrar has kindly offered to do a workshop showing how one can build a web app using COOP (co-op).

COOP (or CO-OP long hand) is a re-factored work from our companies internal technologies at SOSensible. We hope others get some of the same delight and excitement we do.

This technology lets you pull as much programming off your markup page as you wish. It can be so extreme that a designer can code your markup page and he/she may never have to do another loop or conditional statement to work with ColdFusion pages. This is done by a mix of Custom Tag concepts and a paired CFC called a CO-Processor that runs side by side with the markup page. (CO-Processor stands for "Control Object Processor) In fact this may be the most simple form of MVC for CF developers.

Luis has posted a quick blog post saying:

I just posted a survey so I can get the community more involved in the development of ColdBox. Please Click here to take survey

Even if you haven't used ColdBox, fill it out. I really appreciate your input as I always want ColdBox to be a Community Driven project. Your input is super valuable.

If you have 5 mins please help out - as Luis point out it's out chance (the community) to get involved.
