Workshop recording: Sean Corfield on fusebox 5.5

Sean Corfield gave a great presentation on fusebox last night. Sadly I had a rather ill stomach so I had to hand over to Dan Lancelot to run the meeting. Sean covers the history of fusebox as well as some of the latest features in the alpha version of fusebox5.5.

One of the main features is the ability to use fusebox without XML. This has so many people excited. I personally think i'll head down a hybrid route (XML and CFCs) as I enjoy the power of plugins and lexicons. The recording for the meeting is:

What are peoples thoughts on fusebox 5.5?

Michael Smith's Gravatar With Fusebox 5.5 you won't have to use XML if you don't want to...

Sean Corfield's Gravatar I've made the preso and code available as well:

Fusebox 5.5 will let you mix'n'match. You can use fusebox.xml for application configuration and CFCs for circuits or you can use programmatic configuration and auto-discovered "traditional" circuit.xml files or no XML or all XML or any combination of the above...

Bryn Parrott's Gravatar Pity I missed that...

My comment is that I hope someone gets around to properly documenting 5.5 as soon as it comes out. Jeff Peters's book on 5.1 and FliP is ok as far as it goes, but it completely ignores CFC's... (but its a good reference on FLiP)
